If your using AutoReacher or any automation that requires a session-based login, you’ll need your Instagram session ID.
This ID is stored in your browser as a cookie after you log in, and it allows services to authenticate without entering a password every time.
Here’s a simple, safe, and beginner-friendly guide to finding it.
🔐 What Is a Session ID?
When you log into Instagram in your browser, Instagram gives you a cookie called sessionid.
This cookie tells Instagram that you’re logged in, and that same value can be used by approved tools or scripts to authenticate your account.
Think of it as a temporary login token — not a password, but just as sensitive.
🚀 How to Find Your Instagram Session ID in Google Chrome
Follow these steps exactly:
1. Log into Instagram
Open Google Chrome and go to:
Log in to your account normally.
2. Open Developer Tools
Press:
Windows: CTRL + SHIFT + I
Mac: CMD + OPTION + I
Or right-click anywhere on the page and choose Inspect.
This will open a panel on the right or bottom of your browser.
3. Open the “Application” Tab
At the top of the panel, click Application.
If you don’t see it, click the little >> arrow until it appears.
4. Go to Cookies
On the left side under the Storage section, click:
Cookies → https://www.instagram.com
You will now see a table with cookies stored for Instagram.
5. Find “sessionid”
Look under the Name column and find the cookie named:
sessionid
This is the one you need.
6. Copy the Value
Next to “sessionid,” look at the Value column.
Double-click it and copy the entire string.
This long value is your Instagram session ID.
⚠️ Important Security Reminder
Your session ID gives full access to your Instagram account.
Treat it like a password:
Do not share it
Do not store it in notes or screenshots
Do not send it to anyone
If it ever leaks, change your Instagram password immediately
Changing your password automatically invalidates the session ID.
